OK you ultra dudes remember I will be on the north rim with encouragement, praise,concern , humor and tears along with my camera!!!

Do not be embarrassed or dejected if a rim to rim is all you body can stand I have done it twice south to north and again with JR north to south it is absolutely brutal and fulfilling on a rim to rim. Both times I did it I was at the + 14 hour range first time solo and second time with JR help , company and along the way met at bottom of canyon daughter Staci grand daughters Keisha and Tasha. They where doing a south to north hike and than take our car driving back to south rim and join us in the hot tub but that is a 4 hour 220 mile drive around in addition to there 14 hour of rim to rim hike.

I have been told or read that approximately 36,000 people hike the GC yearly and only 3,000 actually do a rim to rim. Now think about 305,000,000 MILLION Americans that most have the ability to walk and have never never taken on a ultra hike that your contemplating!!! YOU will become a ELITE Number to all that know you and they will whisper did you know what that crazy SOB did On Oct 2, 2010. My hat and respect are off to all of you. Read and study what JR has sent Read and study what these two hikers have learned in 3 attempts and completion. Each one of you will have your own threshold or Bonks do not let that overwhelm you.

Hike safe and smart remember water/feet/food or WFF without proper care you will condem YOURSELF.
