> Hiking Boots (Keens) high tops and broken in for a long hike
> Hiking Poles
> 2 pair of new hiking socks (wear 1 and keep 1 on reserve)
> Padded inserts for hiking boots
> Liquid Nue Skin - wipe on pressure points of feet to prevent blisters
> Columbia hiking cargo pants with zippers to convert to hiking shirts
> Two pair of boxers (not white to avoid visible streaks)
> Nylon muscle shirt
> Long sleeve nylon shirt
> Light rain jacket with hood (Columbia)
> 2 light day packs each with a 3 liter camel pack. Each pack will have sufficient food calories for only a rim to rim distance. 1 pack on me with the 2nd pack waiting for me on the North Rim to switch. I'm going to keep both packs to a minimum weight.
> Sunglasses with strap
> Hiking gloves
> Hat for sun
> Hat for warmth in 2nd pack for night hiking
> Cool neck rag
> Alieve drugs for stupidity pain
> Sun block
> Lip balm
> Digital Camera
> Head lamp with fresh batteries (Petzl)
> 10 quarters for shower
Vaseline helps with chaffing!!
